Dr. Ball is a graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington where he double majored in chemistry and economics. He then went on to attend the Indiana University School of Dentistry where he graduated in 1997. After a short residency at Stony Brook University in Suffolk County, New York, Dr. Ball moved to Cincinnati where he began his career in private practice.
